Our Pastor: Kevin Wyssmann
About Our Pastor
Pastor (Rev. Dr.) Wyssmann is originally from Oklahoma. He was a star chapter farmer in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and has spent much of his life surrounded by all kids of animals. He currently has two dogs - a Weimaraner named Cinder and a German Shepherd named Ace. He and his wife Laurie have five children and five grand children most of which live in Gilbert, Arizona.
He was the camp director for 4 years in Talequah, Oklahoma, a mission developer for the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, founding Christ's Greenfield Lutheran of Gilbert, Arizona and serving as senior pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park, Kansas before returning back to Gilbert. His doctorate degree is in faith development called "Systemic Catechesis". His role as "vacancy pastor" is to assist Living Water in preparing for its next full-time pastor while helping the parish develop its various missions and ministries.
Pastor has about an hour commute each day from his home in Gilbert. So, office hours, presently, will be Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30am till 7pm and on Sunday following services until around 1:30pm in the afternoon.
